What is Intuitive Eating? Intuitive Eating is a self-care framework that helps you rebuild trust with your body and make peace with food. It’s about tuning into your body’s cues—hunger, fullness, and satisfaction— and then making your own choice. As opposed to following external rules or restrictions.

What’s the difference between Intuitive Eating coaching and therapy? Coaching focuses on growth, insight, and skill-building. It’s educational, practical, and supportive—helping you apply Intuitive Eating tools in your everyday life. Therapy, on the other hand, addresses mental health diagnoses, trauma, or clinical eating disorders. If deeper therapeutic work is needed, I’ll happily collaborate with your therapist or help you find one aligned with this approach.

How is Intuitive Eating coaching different from working with a dietitian or nutritionist? Dietitians and nutritionists focus on the what of eating—meal planning, medical nutrition therapy, and specific dietary needs. As a coach, I focus on the why and how—your relationship with food, body, and the beliefs that shape your choices. I help you develop trust, awareness, and flexibility so you can eat with more peace and confidence, whether or not you ever count another nutrient again.

How do I know if coaching is right for me? Coaching might be a good fit if you’re tired of food rules and guilt, want to feel more at ease around food, or are ready to rebuild body trust. If you’re unsure, schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk through what you need.

What if I’m currently in eating disorder recovery? If you’re in active recovery or currently working with a therapist or treatment team, we’ll make sure coaching fits safely within your support plan. I’m always happy to coordinate with your providers so we can keep the focus on your recovery, care, and long-term healing.

Can I work with you if I’m still tracking calories, dieting or weighing myself? Yes. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. Many clients begin coaching while they’re still holding onto diet rules or tracking behaviors. Together, we’ll explore the fears and needs that Diet Culture promises to meet and move toward more trust and flexibility at your own pace.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you? No. I work with clients from all backgrounds and belief systems. Some people prefer a faith-integrated approach, while others don’t—both are welcome here. You’ll always choose the path that feels right for you.

Do you offer workshops or group coaching? Yes! I periodically offer local workshops, online trainings, and small group experiences. These are announced through my email list, so the best way to stay in the loop (and get more free tools and resources) is to sign for updates.

What happens during a coaching session? Each session is one hour long. We’ll discuss what’s coming up for you - your questions and take aways, review any guided materials or reflections, and identify small, realistic next steps. You’ll always leave with insight, clarity, and compassion.

How long do people usually work with you? It depends on your goals. Some start with the Six Week Intro to Intuitive Eating Coaching program to build a foundation; others continue with follow-up sessions or long-term Coaching. We’ll set a pace and structure that fit your needs.

What does Coaching cost? Each one-hour session is $80, with a few limited sliding-scale spots available. The six-week program is designed as a structured foundation, and you’re welcome to schedule additional sessions afterward for continued support.

How do we meet? All Coaching takes place virtually over Zoom, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable and relaxed.

How do I get started? Schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. We’ll talk about your goals, explore the best fit for your needs, and answer any questions you have.

Do you offer resources for therapists or other helping professionals? I offer resources and trainings designed specifically for mental-health professionals who want to provide weight-inclusive, anti-diet care. These include workshops, downloadable toolkits, and reflection guides that help you integrate Intuitive Eating and body-trust principles into your clinical work. While these materials are created with therapists in mind, they’re also valuable for any helping professional—coaches, dietitians, educators, or healthcare providers—who wants to become more weight-inclusive and support clients through an anti-diet lens.
